On the morning of July 2, a delegation led by Cui Liming, Deputy General Manager of the Technology Research Division under the Department of Science, Technology, and Information at CHN Energy (CHN Energy), and Ma Ziran, Manager of the Research Management Center at CHN Energy’s National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE), visited the school. Vice Deans Fan Jingli, Zhang Junwen, and Wang Zhiqiang attended the discussion meeting, which was presided over by Fan Jingli.

Cui Liming began by introducing the members of the visiting delegation and expressing a desire to deepen university-enterprise cooperation. He thanked the School for its long-standing contribution of outstanding talent to CHN Energy and voiced hopes for joint research and development—leveraging the School of Energy and Mining Engineering’s disciplinary strengths and R&D capabilities—focused on the clean and efficient utilization of coal and the development of energy storage technologies.

Ma Ziran outlined the overall situation of CHN Energy (CHN Energy), focusing on the Group's current strategic deployment for scientific and technological innovation—particularly the innovation and development philosophy centered on "three transformations, four orientations, and three roles as frontrunners"—as well as the Group's strategic layout regarding major scientific and technological research projects.

On behalf of the School, Fan Jingli welcomed Cui Liming and his delegation. She outlined the School’s history, organizational structure, faculty, academic disciplines, and achievements in developing teaching and research platforms, while placing special emphasis on international frontiers and the current status and prospects of the carbon energy storage sector.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on current hot topics in the energy sector, particularly the development of smart mining technologies. Furthermore, they held constructive exchanges that aligned our university's disciplinary strengths with the cutting-edge strategic directions of the CHN Energy. This meeting laid a solid foundation for expanding the scope and deepening the level of future collaboration; it will powerfully facilitate the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, thereby jointly driving high-quality corporate development and the prosperity of higher education.

Reportedly, the discussion was attended by Guo Xiuying, Manager of the Research Management Center and Professor-level Senior Engineer at the National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE) of CHN Energy; Shi Junjie, a key researcher at the National Key Laboratory of Water Resource Protection and Utilization in Coal Mining (under CHN Energy); Pan Weidong, Head of the Department of Intelligent Mining Engineering at the School of Energy and Mining Engineering; and Xie Shengrong, Party Branch Secretary of the Department of Mining Science and Engineering at the School of Energy and Mining Engineering.
