On the morning of June 20, a delegation led by Xu Yonghong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shandong Gold Industrial Investment Group, visited the School for an exchange and discussion. Gao Laiju, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Energy and Mining Engineering, presided over the meeting.

Xu Yonghong began by expressing her sincere gratitude for the establishment of this exchange platform and extended a cordial invitation to the School to visit Shandong for an on-site tour. She provided a comprehensive overview of the Group’s development, resource endowments, and medium- to long-term strategic planning, while highlighting successful past instances of industry-academia collaboration. She articulated the Group’s core competencies and unique strengths, clearly conveying a strong desire to build a multifaceted partnership with the School. She emphasized the aim to deeply integrate the Group’s advantageous resources and to comprehensively expand the scope of collaborative efforts between the enterprise and the School.

On behalf of the School, Gao Laiju extended a sincere welcome to Xu Yonghong and the visiting delegation. He provided a detailed overview of the overall development of both the university and the School, covering aspects such as the university's history, the School's current status, the layout of academic disciplines, the high-caliber faculty, the innovative talent cultivation system, and distinctive research strengths. Noting that Shandong Province—a region rich in resources—shares deep historical ties and close connections with the School, he expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in areas such as university-enterprise partnerships, working together to elevate their collaborative efforts to a new level.

The two parties engaged in in-depth dialogue focused on joint university-enterprise collaboration, actively exploring new pathways for development empowered by joint Party-building initiatives, while continuously deepening resource complementarity and value co-creation.
