On the afternoon of April 11, the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Mining held an intensive study and discussion session of the reading class on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulations in Room 318 of the Comprehensive Building. The meeting was attended by Gao Laiju, Secretary of the School Party Committee; Yang Shengli, Dean of the School; Zhang Junwen and Wang Zhiqiang, Associate Deans; Li Jing, full-time party organization officer of the Party Committee; as well as the secretaries of the teachers' and students' Party branches of the Department of Resources Science and Engineering and representatives of Party members.

Centering on Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Discourses on Strengthening the Party's Work Style and the spirit of the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulations and their implementation rules, members of the school leadership team delivered exchange speeches in turn, based on their own practical circumstances and the work under their respective responsibility. Gao Laiju pointed out that this intensive study was not only an exchange and discussion among members of the school leadership team, but also a joint learning and co-construction activity between the teachers' and students' Party branches of the Department of Resources Science and Engineering. Through the exchange speeches at the meeting, everyone's high importance attached to this learning and education campaign was fully demonstrated. He stressed that the school should take this reading class as an opportunity, closely combine the thorough implementation of the spirit of the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulations with the advancement of the school's development, and ensure the smooth progress of all work with a fine work style, by adopting higher standards, stricter requirements, and more concrete measures.

Ren Yishuai, Secretary of the Second Master's Student Party Branch of the Department of Resources Science and Engineering, delivered a special sharing presentation titled "Building Oneself with Integrity of Conduct, Forging the Soul with Mission — The Era-Bearing Responsibility of Young Party Members in Practicing the Spirit of the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulations." The four teachers' and students' Party branches then carried out discussions, and attending Party member representatives exchanged their learning experiences and reflections based on their personal thinking.

Through this intensive discussion, all participants clearly stated that they would strictly follow the requirements of the university Party committee, study deeply and thoroughly so that the learning is truly internalized in the mind, earnestly treat the learning and education campaign as an important political task, enhance political, ideological, and action awareness, translate the fruits of learning into a fine work style of leading by example and strictly disciplining oneself, and translate them into concrete actions of rallying strength and dedicating themselves to work.
