On the afternoon of March 18, a delegation led by Jia Han, Director of the Department of Carbon Storage Science and Engineering, School of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Petroleum (East China), came to our school for an exchange visit. Wang Zhiqiang, Deputy Dean of the School of Energy and Mining Engineering, and Wang Haiyan, Deputy Dean of the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering, attended the meeting. Wang Zhiqiang chaired the meeting.

Wang Zhiqiang warmly welcomed the delegation. He gave a detailed introduction to the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, covering its organizational structure, interdisciplinary development, and curriculum design. He said the school will continue to strengthen the center's development, make the most of its role as a model for practical teaching, and help the university become a world-class energy university. Wang Haiyan mainly talked about the center's laboratory functions, daily operation and management, and equipment maintenance. Jia Han introduced the Experimental Teaching Center of the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China). He said he hoped the visit would help them learn from our successful experience and deepen cooperation between the two universities in experimental teaching.

The two sides had in-depth discussions on laboratory management, the use and maintenance of experimental equipment, and career development opportunities for laboratory staff. Through these talks, they exchanged ideas and learned from each other's experience in building and managing experimental teaching centers.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed topics such as talent training through experimental teaching, teaching reform and research, teaching support and facilities, faculty development, the center's leading role as a model, and public science education. On behalf of his school, Jia Han presented a gift to our school, expressing the hope that the two sides would strengthen cooperation, explore new ways of experimental teaching, give full play to the role of experimental teaching in talent training, and support education reform.

It is reported that the meeting was also attended by Guo Xinyang, Director of the Experimental Teaching Center of the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China); Wang Zengbao, Deputy Director; Li Chenghua, Laboratory Technician; and Wang Yu, Engineer. From China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), attendees included Zhang Shoubao, Director of the Experimental Center of the School of Energy and Mining Engineering; Zhang Cun, Associate Professor; Liu Yu, Director of the Experimental and Teaching Center of the School of Geoscience and Surveying Engineering; Huang Man, Engineer; and Feng Yufeng, Engineer of the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering.
