On December 4, the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Mining Engineering held the 9th theoretical‑political study session of the Party‑Committee Theoretical Learning Group for 2025 in Meeting Room 318 of the Complex Building. The participants collectively studied four works: Developing New Quality Productive Forces in Light of Local Conditions by Xi Jinping, Building an Inclusive Open Asia‑Pacific Economy for All, Putting the Asia‑Pacific at the Forefront of the Joint Endeavor for World Development and Prosperity, and Working Together for a Sustainable and Brighter Tomorrow. Members of the Party‑Committee Theoretical Learning Group including Yang Shengli, Gao Laiju, Fan Jingli and Zhang Junwen, together with Li Jing, full‑time Party organizer of the School Party Committee, attended the study session.

Gao Laiju led the collective study of these documents. He pointed out that this series of important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping, based on both domestic and international overall situations, has provided in‑depth elaboration and clear requirements on major contemporary issues such as developing new quality productive forces, deepening Asia‑Pacific regional cooperation, and promoting world peace and development, pointing out the direction for our work. He stressed that we should thoroughly understand the new ideas, viewpoints and judgments contained in these speeches, accurately grasp their core essence and practical requirements, earnestly align our thinking and actions with the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, and continuously strengthen our consciousness and resolve to implement them. We shall closely integrate the requirements with the actual conditions of the school, incorporate the development of new quality productive forces into the school’s development plans, policy measures and specific projects, identify breakthrough points and priority directions, raise awareness of opening‑up and cooperation, continuously improve our capacity for participating in regional and international cooperation with a broader vision and mindset, and make new achievements in serving the overall national opening‑up strategy.

During the discussion, all members of the theoretical‑learning group agreed that this special study deepened their understanding of the great political, theoretical and practical significance of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches. They noted that they would continue to make efforts to gain a thorough understanding and achieve integrated comprehension, and translate learning outcomes into clear ideas and effective measures for advancing work. It is necessary to uphold and strengthen the Party’s overall leadership, ensure that the study is not a mere formality and implementation is fully delivered without discount, and promote all work of the school to reach new heights with a more enterprising mental state.
