On January 10, the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Mining held its first special study session of the Party Committee Central Group in 2025 in Room 318 of the Comprehensive Building, focusing on the study of Xi Jinping's Important Speech at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Communiqué of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Members of the Party Committee Central Group — Gao Laiju, Yang Shengli, Fan Jingli, Zhang Junwen, and Wang Zhiqiang — together with Li Jing, full-time party organization officer of the Party Committee, participated in the study and discussion.

Gao Laiju conveyed and led the study of the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Communiqué of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. He stressed the need to deeply understand the decisive significance of the "Two Establishments" and resolutely achieve the "Two Safeguards," making the strengthening of Party discipline an ongoing routine task. First, political supervision should be strengthened to ensure close alignment with the Party Central Committee, taking the implementation of the Party Central Committee's decisions and arrangements as the focus of political supervision and jointly advancing the reform and development of the school. Second, the grave and complex situation of the fight against corruption must be fully recognized, with the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulations upheld as iron rules and hard constraints; prominent problems should be earnestly identified and addressed, and integrated efforts should be made to ensure that officials dare not, cannot, and do not want to be corrupt, so as to continuously purify the cadre ranks. Third, the main responsibility and supervisory responsibility for full and rigorous Party self-governance should be strengthened, with the Party Committee taking the initiative to manage and supervise and the discipline inspection commission effectively fulfilling its supervision and discipline-enforcement duties, so as to advance full and rigorous Party self-governance in a concrete and detailed manner. Based on the problems identified through inspection feedback, supervision over key areas and key working links of the school should be strengthened to foster a clean and upright environment for education and talent cultivation.
